The Activator Methods
Gentle, Yet Effective
This chiropractic technique has been around for nearly 40 years, is known for being gentle, and is very popular, especially with clients who tense up during manual manipulation. Because the Activator instrument is so quick, your body won’t have time to respond with resistance, which may actually speed up recovery. Patients report feeling improvement with back pain, neck pain, and even migraine headaches after just one visit. It’s also helpful for adjusting elbows, wrists, knees, and other joints of the body.
INITIAL EVALUATION
We start by assessing your spinal movement, usually by asking you to perform twisting and bending actions. Additionally, we'll measure the length of your legs. Notable discrepancies in leg length can indicate the presence of vertebral subluxations (or misalignments) in your spine.

ACTIVATION
From here, you may be asked to move your arms or legs into various positions to fire muscles attached to particular vertebra. After activating these areas, we will recheck to see if your leg lengths have evened. If they have, it can be assumed that we have treated a problematic vertebra, and we’ll continue on down the spine, testing for and treating vertebral subluxations.
